Music & Arts, established in 1968, pre-dates Arts Council Silicon Valley as the first agency in the Valley to offer support to Santa Clara County performing and visual arts groups by facilitating a collaborative fundraising effort. Music & Arts was adopted as one of Arts Council’s programs in 1986 and for the past 20 years, the Arts Council has partnered with a select number of local, volunteer-driven, small and midsized arts organizations to provide fundraising training and administrative assistance through this annual campaign.
Arts Council Silicon Valley enables the participating organizations to reach out to their communities for financial support by offering in-depth workshops and providing invaluable services to reduce overhead costs which include campaign materials, donation processing, donor payment options, and website promotion.
The fundraising portion of the Music & Arts Campaign consists of a 10-week campaign, which focuses on person-to-person, direct mail and telephone solicitation, and web-based promotions. ACSV staff support is provided year-round.
